Vintage Stoneware Butter or Cheese Crock

Vintage stoneware butter or cheese crock with its original wire bail handle and wooden grip. Gray salt-glazed style finish, thick rolled rim, unmarked. From 1930s–1950s because of the molded rim. These crocks were commonly used to store butter, cheese, lard, or other dairy products before widespread refrigeration. 

Item appears to be in very good condition, with no visible cracks, no major chips visible. Original handle intact with a nice overall glaze and patina. Missing cover.
